job with my family reunion t-shirts. I received them on last Tuesday and
mailed them out to family on last Wed. I started receiving phone calls on
Friday from family members across the country that they
LOVE
the t-shirts.
As I briefly mentioned on the phone, my reunion was actually held in July
2006. I had located a company here in Houston (by referral) to order our
t-shirts. I started a YEAR in advance communicating with this company and
had given them my original artwork at least 6 months before the reunion
date. I was assured that I would be able to get the shirts done with no
problems. Two weeks before the reunion, we ordered the t-shirts. I went to
the company 3 days later and the artwork we agreed upon was HORRIBLE and
they even misspelled the word REUNION! The company assured me that they
would re-do the shirts and have them back on time. To make a long story
short, the shirts were promised to me DAILY up until 12 noon the DAY of
our reunion. At this point, I demanded a total refund. My family was very
disappointed and so was I, but this late in the game, there was nothing that
I could do.
Having a family reunion on my dad's side of the family was a prayer
answered. After several family fallouts they hadn't had a reunion in nearly
10 years and now that we were finally able to get them to come together, one
of the key elements of the reunion - the t-shirts, didn't come through. For
this family, it was more than just having t-shirts, but it was more symbolic
of the family having unity and being on one accord. It was an outer
reflection of what I believe God was doing on the inside of my family
members and it was also important to us that when we went out in the city,
we represented "family" and togetherness by having on our t-shirts. As of
matter of fact, there was another family staying at the same hotel as my
family and they had on a sea of purple family reunion t-shirts. It was
fabulous! I hunted down the contact for this family to find out who did
their t-shirts. He told me to call him after the weekend was over and he
would give me the details (I called him 3x and he never called back!)
Considering all, the other events of the weekend turned out successfully.
Then, at our final business meeting, I asked the family if they wanted their
t-shirt money back and to my surprise they said "no". They still wanted a
company to make t-shirts for the family! So I promised them, that I would
find a company and get the t-shirts done. After going to a few local t-shirt
companies in Houston and not being satisfied with the artwork nor pricing, I
prayed and asked God to help me find a company.
I was surfing one day on the net looking for a t-shirt company and came
across reuniontees.com. The colors and artwork IMMEDIATELY caught my
attention! I was a little leery about ordering t-shirts off the internet -
from another city, but after seeing how professional your website was, I
thought .. surely these folks must be good. I hadn't gotten a referral or
anything - I just took a chance that you wall would do a great job. I
called and spoke to you (Mr. Miles). I was very impressed by your
professionalism. You
made it sound so easy - like the t-shirts could be done in a breeze
....Doing business with reuniontees.com was SO EASY!
I loved the fact that you already had "pre-designed" artwork to choose from
and the option to create a design if I wanted. I decided to do away
with the previous artwork because the other companies said that it would be
difficult to replicate and I selected from your options. I was able to use
the artwork you created for my family to make mailing labels and to use as a
"header" for the letter I wrote to my family (attached) when mailing out
their t-shirts. The entire process was so easy, it still seems too good to
be true :)
When the t-shirts arrived, I was overjoyed! It was well worth the wait!!
Now, I've referred your company to several family members and colleagues
here in Houston !!!
